- 일리네어에 온 뒤로 많은 게 달라졌을 텐데, 언더그라운드 시절로 돌아가고 싶은 때도 있어요?
많죠. 근데 어차피 못 돌아가는 거니까. 아무 생각 없이 노래 만들고 놀고. 그땐 그게 전부였어요. 아티스트로서도 더 좋았던 것 같아요. 지금은 훨씬 많은 사람들이 제 노래를 알고 돈도 더 벌긴 하지만 즐거움으로 따지면 그때가 훨씬 재밌었어요. 지금은 생각이 너무 많아졌고, 앞으로 더 많아지겠죠.

- 새 앨범은 언제쯤 들어 볼 수 있을까요?
올해 말로 생각하고 있는데 내년 초가 될 수도 있어요. 곡이 좋아야 하니까요. 근데 가까운 시일 내엔 나올 거예요. 멀지는 않았어요. 제 느낌에는.

- 이제 빈지노만의 색깔을 찾은 것 같나요?
여전히 찾는 과정인 것 같아요. 우리나라에서 음악을 한다는 게 되게 어려운 일이에요. 음악이든 미술이든 뭐든. 자기 정체성을 찾는 시기도 없이 일을 먼저 시작하는 경우가 많아요. 그런 걸 저는 수준이 낮다고 생각해요. 모든 인프라가 부족하죠. 시간적인 여건이나 사회적 시선, 의무의 강요, 보수적인 민족성… 그런 걸 다 따졌을 때 우린 자유롭지 못해요.
